FACILITATION.

Jasmine Waldorf has worked holistically leading mental health and art workshops in London, Manchester and Nottingham.

She has worked in The Whitworth Gallery, Manchester School of Art, and community centres in Salford and Brinnington, as well as delivering creative interventions in HMP Buckley Hall, and with children in a refugee camp in Samos, Greece.

Her community arts practice spans a variety of contexts, but the common thread is that participants (or co-collaborators) may be often excluded from “mainstream” arts engagement, through circumstances such as severe mental illness,  homelessness, or through socio-economic barriers, such as being in care or involved with the criminal justice system.

Her practice as a facilitator is fuelled by her mission as a mental health advocate. Her career in advocacy has spanned 13 years and has seen her Lecture clinical psychology students as a guest speaker at U.C.L and work with National Prison Radio in HMP Brixton.

Most recently Jasmine co-authored “Rethinking Secondary Mental Health Care”, an academic text calling for mental health care reform, published by Routledge.

She is currently based at Arts Network, a wellbeing and arts charity in London, where she delivers creative workshops in house and with their partner organisations, most recently delivering creative workshops at Dulwich Picture Gallery.
